Dr. Khairiraihanna Johari received her Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical-Polymer), Master in Engineering (Chemical) and Doctor of Philosophy (Chemical Engineering) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She is currently a senior lecturer of Chemical Engineering Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and a member of Centre of Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCCUS). She been recognition as Professional Technologist (Ts.) from Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). She also is an Associate Member of The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and registered under Boards of Engineers Malaysia. Her research interests are focusing on developing advanced adsorbent materials for heavy metal ions removal especially removal of mercury from industrial applications. Currently, she is working on potential adsorbent for H2S/CO2 separation, as well as REE exploration. She has completed several research projects funded by various agencies and holds many publications in the form of peer-reviewed journals and conference papers.
