Uma Umakhanthan is a Chartered Professional Civil & Environmental Engineer and Fellow Engineer from Australia, with over 25 years of experience in engineering, technology, business leadership, and sustainability. Uma completed his PhD at the University of New South Wales, Australia. Currently serving as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at emew Clean Technologies, Uma leads initiatives that drive strategic partnerships and deliver innovative solutions focused on the circular economy, resource recovery, decarbonization, and high-purity metal recovery. His career spans diverse sectors, including mining, oil & gas, utilities, and EPC, where he has successfully led large-scale infrastructure design projects across the Asia-Pacific region. Uma is passionate about and committed to advancing sustainable engineering technologies, creating impactful solutions, and generating long-term value for both industries and communities.
