Gerard has worked in the financial services industry for more than 30 years, committing most of his time to raising money for developments in the resources sector. Prior to founding the boutique investment bank Empire Securities Group in 2007, he worked variably in New York, London, Sydney and Melbourne as the Director of International Institutional Research Sales at Merril Lynch (Bank of America), as well as at other financial services firms, including HSBC Asset Management's James Capel.
