Ian Hiscock

Ian is a mineral economist and industry consultant. Prior to his work with the Energy Shift Institute, he spent 16 years in CRU’s consulting division where he held the position of Managing Consultant and sat on the global leadership team.
Over the course of his career, Ian has covered all the major bulk commodity, metal and fertiliser markets interfacing with senior managers and executives. He has long track record of leading multidisciplinary teams to solve technical and economic problems relating to investments, strategy, procurement and decarbonization.
He also has a special interest in disputes and has given evidence in a number of courts, including the London Court of International Arbitration, as well as facilitated commercial negotiations between governments and industry.Â
Ian holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Essex in the U.K.
