Mr. John Ahn is the senior business development officer for Asia and the Pacific from the Office of Global Business Development (GBD) of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM). John primarily engages with foreign buyers, financial institutions and local trade associations to raise EXIM’s brand awareness and develop international relationships that could potentially advance U.S. business interest abroad through EXIM’s support.

Prior to this role, Mr. Ahn was a loan officer for the Export Credit Insurance division at EXIM. In this capacity he underwrote short-term credit facilities for U.S. exporters ranging from small to medium-sized enterprises to large corporations. Companies vary across industries including energy, transportation, agribusiness and environmental sectors.

Mr. Ahn holds a Master’s degree in International Relations & International Economics from School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from George Mason University. He speaks fluent Korean.
